The one with a few embarassments !!!

Its been looong time since I wrote a blog. I wanted to say, it is because of the hard work I am doing and look more busier than ever, though it is only partly true. Screw the client place where I am now. No internet access whatsoever. The only so called access is google without which I could not work as an engineer (nor anyone, for that matter). .... Coming to the subject, obviously the embarassements happened at the client place who is the 2nd largest automotive manufacturer in India and which starts with the letter "M". Those who have guessed by now, dont think I brag too much about my work (it is not as exciting as you think) and those who did not I pity you for your poor knowledge in auto industry. I went there for PLM implementation support which is the hottest domain currently in any engineering industry. Not many people in Indian industry do know about it but I am happy that I knew something which makes me slightly have the edge over others (What happ to me ... I ve never bragged so much) ... So I am there at a user's machine installing a PLM tool when a nice assamese girl told,

"My mouse is not working"...
Me:" So???"...
She:" Arent you the infrastructure guy who does maintenence ?"..
Me: "Excuse me !!!.. You got me wrong"
She: Blushing starts
Me: And flirting starts !!!!

Another incident happened when I completed installation on a user's machine. Now the user (he is unfortunately a "he" this time) logs in and started shouting at me that his outlook is not working. I became furious and said it was none of my business...

Why dont people enquire before they speak. It embarasses others for sure. Why dont they make sure about something before they ask something else.. They take others for granted. It is true not only in office but everywhere we go and meet new people

So it is my kind advice to all you ( and myself ofcourse) to think before we speak.

The one with many diagreements

This blog is about a sensitive issue and I do not have much expertise to talk about it but then, this is my blog and I can write whatever I feel like. Here it goes ...

It is about one of the most influential artifact and it is called "Religion". Many would disagree whether this is a fact or an artifact. Man has created many facts and convinced himself about several truths like the evolution of the universe and the like. But with "Religion", he has not only convinced himself but made it dominate humans. Don't think I am an aethist speaking about the non-existence of God. I am just against the so called religion and its beliefs. On the other part some of these beliefs have made man more ethical and constarint with principles. Otherwise he would have been just another animal. With religion he has just promoted himself as a social animal. In our daily lives, we see many such beliefs and religious procedures being carried out, but most of these are done so that people feel good about themselves. But it all lies in what you do for other people, how you treat nature which has given birth to the first human. It does not depend on wasting flowers, milk and other food on merely a statue. Am not targeting a religion, but its true with all other religions also. Give it to people who really need them and you can find someone adorable in yourself.

Humans can now become a social animal without the so-called "religion" !!!!

Toughest job in India

It is one of the toughest job in India. Can anyone guess ??.. Is it being a doctor, an engineer, a politician .... NOO.. It is being captain of the Indian cricket team. The defending champions were thrown out the T20 World Cup yesterday by the not so very good England. 153 to chase, India which had terrific batting line-up failed to make it although they inched closer to the target. I was watching TV in a public place this morning and the channel was CNN-IBN. Dhoni's pic zooming in and out at different angles to show that he has failed. Rediculous !!!.. Also Dhoni's pic alongside Sehwag's stating the clash between them. God knows the truth and the media completely scrwed it up making "captain cool" cold during the press meet.

Why can't people accept defeat. Team India is no supernatural to win all games they play. The former "so called" cricketing giants like Javagal Srinath criticised Dhoni's tactics while chasing. He dont know what the hell is T20 cricket and speaks asif he has achived something significant in T20. If Dhoni's startegy such as sending in Jadeja at number 4 had worked, then all the critics would have appreciated it. Cricket is just another profession. Failures are always likely. Pointing out Dhoni alone is not the correct thing. With media hyping up this issue, Dhoni has even apologised for the fans' disappointment. He should nt have apologised. Experimenting in cricket should definitely be done. I am not supporting Dhoni but would have supported anyone in his place. He has been a better captain achiveing some unimaginable feats. Every cricket fan should give him time to rethink and regroup.

Hence, captaining this Indian cricket team has its own cons and so I feel it is one of the toughest jobs in India.

Conquered Clay .. at last !!!!!

It was a sunday evening and it does not get better than watching a grand slam final. At one end, the expected Fedex and in the other end the unexpected Soderling. Though I did not see the full match, I jus got to see glimpse of it. Roger thrashed apart his opponent in straight sets and a French Open final could not end in this way.
It should have been Rafa on the other end.
It should have been a five setter.
It should have been tie breakers through out.
It should have ended with 13-11 in the fifth set. Never matter who wins.. Expecting a final of this sort is obvious.

But its all over. Fedex have done it. 14 GS to his name and still going great guns. He has proved that he s the master of the trade anywhere. But never forget Rafa. He will be back hard for Wimbledon. Lets hope to see an intense battle between these two in Wimbledon final.

Yes.. He's not a magician !!!!

Our national game, which is not cricket but hockey has made some heads turning towards it after winning the Azlan Shah cup after nearly 14 long years. Hockey which is always overpowered by cricket in India has lost its importance after their dismal show in Olympic qualifiers. Gaining momentum these days, the Indian Hockey has appointed a new coach, Jose Brasa who is a spaniard. First foreign coach !!!! (forgive me if i am wrong). This sounds good, since teams like spain, netherlands etc have gone a level up in hockey and we, the founders of the game are yet to prove something due to the lack of expertise and technology. Brasa has said that "He's not a magician" and he can give results slowly. I truly agree with that since a coach from a different country will find it difficult to get in sync with the team mainly due to the language barrier.Overall, this new move has been refreshing and will do good to Indian Hockey. Hope the hockey team goes up from here, get back to the winning ways and earn the gold in next olympics.

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right !!!

A song which is one of my favorite not because of its euphony but the meaning which really makes us think. It is "Time of your life" from Green Day. The best lines were,

"Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time"

Definitely its time which influences your decision apart from your attitute, passion and whatever.
Its time which makes you decide something which you think you would never render in life.
Its time which tests you giving us varied situations and makes us pass varied people with a spectrum of characters.

So its all about expecting minimum out of the world and time will take care of the rest.
It definitely will be a lesson learned in time and in the end its right.....

Senseless Timeout !!!!

The T20 version of the crazy game is infact not accepted by many and ofcourse even I am not fully for it. T20 is introduced definitely to improve the commercial of the game. It has reduced the original charm of Test Cricket. People started moving towards the T20 from the original version and the oldest version of the game, the TEST CRICKET only because they are entertained more. But entertainment is not the only thing about cricket. True fans think in a different way. To add to that, IPL has announced a new rule called "time out" which is completely alien to the game. A time out of about 7.5 mins after every 10 overs of which two 2.5 mins will be commercials and remaining 2.5 mins to show team drinks and their tactics, startegy discussion. Why do we need to know what they talk?. The strategy will be surely reflected when they play. And who knows they dont even show what they talk and they ll only broadcast the useless cheerleaders dancing to hinder men from changing the channel. It is undisputedly driven to meet commercial objectives. Is it a basketball game where time-out is much more prelevant and where players get exhausted unlike games like cricket. Cricket surely has gone beyond control. People are changing the face of the game and its values are depleting.

3 mistakes of my life !!!

I recently completed reading a book called "the 3 mistakes of my life" by Chetan Bhagat, author of the famous "Five point someone". And fortunately the last 3 books (including this) I read, belong to Indian fiction genre. Out of the three, one was "Malgudi Days - Swami and his Friends" by RK Narayan. I am totally attracted towards Indian fiction since the feel was more real, and ofcourse more "Indian". I strongly felt that the two books does not fit under fiction genre since the reality was truly prominent in these books. Coming back to "the 3 mistakes of my life", the primary reason why I liked the book is that the story revolves around cricket and I was able to closely relate myself to one of the character. As I read through the book, I started digging my past to know what were the 3 major mistakes I have done in my life. Suprisingly, I was not able to recollect any and whichever I thought was the mistake, it wasnt a major blunder. I felt that life has treated me in a better way though not in the best way. The 3 mistakes or rather 3 important decisions that made my life different from what it could have been are,

1). Passion v/s Parents
2). Friends v/s Studies
3). India v/s Abroad

Though these decisions do not have any negative impact on my life, I felt that these were quite important when I look back.

Men in White in flying colors !!!

Its been a long awaited series win for the Men in white, about 41 yrs. Since 1968 the Indians have been trying to register a series win in NZ soil. A lot of former captains have failed in their mission but Captain cool Mr. MSD along with others have finally made the dream of 1 billion come true. MSD have definitely made the Indian cricket fo a level up. Not long ago were the Indian cricketers would want draw a test match when they have already won a series, but before the start of the fourth day, MSD in the press meet told that they want to go for the kill. This shows how ruthless he is in his approach when he asked to chase 616. This could have easily been a 2-0 series but the culprits (rain and faded light) made the black caps not worry much. But never mind, it is a series win and all cricket fans will go gaga over this. Though the experience of the seniors in the team helped clinch the series, I felt today that there is definitely a new bond that exists in the team only because of MSD which was missing in the past years. Now there is definitely much pressure on the Indians to sustain this winning habit. But i feel captain cool will ignore the pressure, enjoy cricket and win more series for India.

Utter Nonsense !!.. What do u say ????

I was browing and found this article (see the link). I felt that this should be definitely voiced out.

http://in.movies.yahoo.com/specials/Kareena-queen-of-Bollywood/Bollywood/slideshow-189.html

My opinion is that why the hell do people spend so much for such a use less thing which they ll show in the silver screen for not more than 3 to 4 mins.. Why can t this money be spent on something else may be for some welfare activity.. I accept that movies have become an entertainment tool from what was considered as an "Art", but this is rediculous.. This shows how much people think they are powerful and use these for nonsense things ... What do you say ???

Twin Trouble !!!!

The first amongst the twin is the launch of Tata Nano. I am totally against it though it may have a Super Low Pollution Emission feature (Euro 5 complaint and emmission lower than a two wheeler !!! ), twin engine, and of course affordable by a common man. Note that India has sufficient amount of common men and if each one buys a Nano, imagine the traffic that hits the road and definitely the pollution which exponentially increases. We still do not have an answer for global warming and these 'intelligent idiots" have launched Nano thinking that it will be beneficial to the Indians. Thanks to the recession and atleast a few so called common men will never want to spend now and Tata has done a good thing by launching it now.

The second one as many can guess is the change of IPL second edition locations (most probably in England). It will affect the Indian audience in a way and certainly the IPL organisers as well in terms of money and tournament promotion. It is very much clear from this that the cricket is totally commercialised. Why dont these organisers postpone such a tournament for the sake of elections?. Organisers have to meet to their commitments which would earn them money, fame and nothing else and i feel that, this is the only reason why these people feel reluctant to postpone the tournament. Cricket has evolved into a different level from being just a sport through to a religion and now has become a complete gambling and IPL has tremendously influenced this gambling.

What to write ???

I was sitting at my desk starring at this gud for nothing, idiotic servant of man .. "The Computer" (no offence), when one of my friend pinged me asking what i was doing?.. i told that i was sitting idle with less or no work.. Even he said the same (Recession time and IT and Engg Services fools have no work) .. He told he was reading my blogs and i jus got an idea.. Why dont i post another blog... and here it goes... its about "Recession or Searching for happiness" ..

I firmly beleive that this period as many people think is a cataclysm in the service industry on which India is relying upon economically.... While many people think it as a misfortune, some like me think it as a blessing in disguise ... Confused ???... Yes, this event can change the face of India ... People can look for self-employment .. I heard that an IT employee who was laid off recently started a restaurant .. (Mind it .. there is no recession for food) ... It is gud on his/her part to react quickly to the situation .. One good thing about the idea of self-employment is that you be at your own place and there s no problem of relocation .. haha .. Ultimately we live for ourselves, family and friends ... It is sad to hear tht India has lost 5lakh job in the last 3 months .. Who knows, even i may lose mine in the near future ... So i am planning for my future.. To be self-employed which wud earn me sufficiently, to be with my loved ones, to do what i want, to learn guitar, to play cricket, to be with freinds , which will definitely give me tremendous satisfaction and which i surely miss it rite now ... Life is short .. "Do what you really want"

"The world is full of people whose notion of a satisfactory future is, in fact, a return to the idealised past.
- Robertson Davies"

A Good Chase !!!!

I strongly felt that the 3rd ODI between India and New Zealand was an example of extraordinary perseverance, skill and courage on the part of Black Caps. India had a very good batting line up with the master blaster firing on all cylinders and opening the doors for a big score with the likes of ms, yuvi and raina playing their part very well to give 393 as target. Then came the black caps padded up with mc cullum, destructive as always and the emerging jesse ryder. An excellent partnership worth 163 for the opening wicket made the other batsmen feel they can achieve the mammoth target. Unwanted run outs and the Indians grabbed the opportunity. Bhajji bowled well in the middle overs. Mills with an outstanding effort, still the black caps fell short of what could been an excellent chase in the history. The men in blue can definitely learn how to be courageous, look the opponents on their eyes, lose the game and still give a good game of cricket for crazy fans like me.

How India missed a great cricketer !!!!

Reposting !!!! ..
This is a story about a small boy, some 12 years old (7th standard) who is really really crazy about cricket. His only ambition was to grow up as a cricketer and nothing else. He wanted to join a cricket academy and his parents waved off the green signal. Here comes the twist in the plot. The quarterly exams were over and his marksheets came. Sadly, he got failed in mathematics by jus a mark (34/100) (Though he got failed in many others, why is mathematics being highlighted in this story??? .. Read the next line !!! )... Yeah ... as you can expect ... he got terrlibly beaten up by his mom (who is a Master's Deg holder in Mathematics) ... His mom said a biiiig NOOOOOOOO to cricket ...The boy could then play only Gully cricket which he stopped when he reached the stupid 11th standard ... 11 th standard as people knew, is a nightmare for many kids (atleast kids in TN) and obviously to this boy also .. an example for an education system which is "Total Crap" ... He then stopped playing cricket which haunted him for years (still haunting ... infact he has cried many nights for not achieving "What HE DREAMT !!!!" ) until he went on to become an engineer (surpisingly) with only 3 arrears .... And can you beleive it ... he even got a job, worked (which is again a crap , good for nothing work) for an year and did his Master's in Engineering (Seems like in a Rajnikanth movie were he would become rich before the song completes) ... It all happens in life !!!!! .. So people , from this sad stroy, my sincere advice ... PLS DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO !!!! ... and the boy is, Ladies and Gentlemen with a standing ovation, welcome again Mr. Arvind Sekar to this vetti world of blogging !!!!....

My week !!!

A review of my week :

Looking back, it was a pretty good week. No tension whatsoever. First week of any month is gud since our bank balances shoot up (though not enough ... afterall we are humans and nothing is enough for these social animals) .... . Infact, my week is not over yet. Planning to be in office tomorrow. The past week had many exciting news. India winning both their matches with SL and i'm sure that Dhoni's men will whitewash the series. Coming to IPL, chennai has claimed Freddie.. Hopefully they ll bring the trophy home this time.. While the IPL auction was going on today, one of my (IT !!!!!!) friend commented " Why isnt there recession in IPL ?? " ... This is a valid question !!!!! How come these IPL guys get money when people say "SlumDog .." has shown the reality that Hindustan is a poor country ... I have never seen a country other than 'Hindustan' with both extremes .. because the amount of introverts in this country would definitely be amongst the top ... Other than cricket, heard that all colleges in TN are closed for a few days due to strike... because of the srilankan tamils issue.... I dono why students get involved in these ... Nothing much happpened this week with the same bus, same bus stand, same girls at bus stand ..... and so on ..
My second blog ppl !!! .. hope this gets improved as numberofblogs++

So ... have a happy week end!!! ....
